I wished I had found out about Melody Cove sooner. After just a month of lessons, I see incredible improvement in my playing.
Not just being able to play the song, but also play it well and on the right beat(which I had struggled with before). As a newbie guitarist, I had no idea what I was doing wrong and why my playing did not sound like the song I was trying to play.
Thankfully, Jun Rong highlighted my weakness and helped me improve on them. If not for Jun Rong, I would have never noticed such small details of my guitar playing. The experience of being tutored by Jun Rong has been very educational. His teachings are very easy to follow and constructive. Due to his patience and dedication, it motivates me to practice more during my free time, and spends most of my time enjoying playing guitar. He made sure that I won't be overwhelmed by his teachings and provided specific areas I should give special attention to. Also, I'm comfortable having conversations with him which allow us to communicate better. The progress I've felt, personally, is that my skills have been improved tremendously. What I enjoyed most was seeing noticeable improvements in my playing. During lessons, new techniques and mistakes are taught and fixed respectively. This significantly improves my level of competence within a short period of time of 1 hr as compared to my daily practices. Therefore, the lessons do show actually growth and help. My guitar has improved quite a lot, despite my hectic schedule during the rest of my week. I try to fit in pockets of time to practice and play. Thanks to the weekly lessons, my progress improve very quickly and I was able to enjoy my practice. I would definitely recommend other tutees to him. Even though he is an advanced player, he manages to break down difficult challenges seamlessly into easier and manageable bite-sized tasks. This is one of the greatest reasons why I do not find the guitar too much of a chore as I can slowly improve without feeling incompetent or discouraged. Overall, I always look forward to my weekly Saturday morning lessons as I find them really enjoyable and helpful. My experience has been really great so far and will continue to learn from him.

I am a working adult with a tight work schedule. As such, I really like the flexibility in attending his classes with flexible timings that are after my work hours. He gives great guidance and advice in my playing during lessons and is definitely a very patient and detailed instructor. I am very happy to learn from him as he creates a stress-free environment for me to learn. After a month of learning, I am happy that I can start to slowly play and sing along to a song! I'm giving him an 8 out of 10 recommendation for other students to learn from him too!

Jun Rong is an instructor that values precision, punctuality and patience. His lessons are both technical and fun and I learnt a lot (starting from zero to being able to play rock songs!)with him. I find myself having a lot of fun being taught by him. Highly recommended!
